Hydration and skin quality
Skin boosters
Skin boosters are about the quality of the skin rather than its shape: hydration, softness and how the skin catches the light.
They are usually done as a short course rather than a single appointment, and results build gradually. This is a treatment for people who are patient.
Who it suits
People whose skin feels dry, dull or tired, and who want an improvement in condition rather than a change in shape.
Aftercare
- Leave the skin bare for the rest of the day where possible.
- Use a gentle cleanser and a plain moisturiser for 48 hours.
- Sunscreen daily; this matters more than any product you can buy.
- Avoid saunas, steam and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
Questions
Is this the same as filler?
No. Filler changes shape and structure; skin boosters are about hydration and skin condition. They are often used alongside each other, but they do different jobs.
How soon will I see a difference?
Not immediately. This is a gradual treatment and it is normal to notice the difference over weeks rather than days.
